Richard Lauder
Cool-Safet – Independent Chair, Trust for the Destruction of Synthetic Refrigerants
BE Chem, MBA, Grad Dip Arts (Ethics)
A chartered member of the Institute of Directors, Richard works in governance with a special interest in roles pertaining to climate change adaption and mitigation. Prior to governance, Richard had a long career in chief executive roles across a range of sectors in New Zealand.
His role is to lead Cool-Safe in its product stewardship of fluorinated gases. The Trust for the Destruction of Synthetic Refrigerants was formed in 1993 to manage refrigerant gas collection and destruction in New Zealand. Since 1993, Refrigerant Recovery NZ has safely collected for destruction over 623,000 kilograms of synthetic refrigerants and ozone depleting gases (CFC, HCFC, HFC) as at March 2023.
Shaun Goldsbury

Shaun Goldsbury is BraveTrace's new CEO. With 15 years of experience in the energy industry, including roles at Trust Power and Genesis nergy - where he served as Chief Trading Officer in his most recent tenure, Shaun Goldsbury brings a wealth of expertise on electricity, gas, coal, LPG and carbon markets. Renowned as a subject matter expert in energy trading, portfolio management and Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Shaun has
been a supporter of the New Zealand Energy Certificate System (NZECS) since its inception.
His primary objective is to provide strategic direction and leadership to sustain BraveTrace’s exponential growth trajectory. Born and raised in Gisborne, Shaun is of Ngāti Porou and Te Aitanga-ā-Hauiti descent.
The presentation will explain how BraveTrace's New Zealand Energy Certificates (NZ-ECs, aka RECs) can help businesses reduce their reportable electricity emissions and play a role in the acceleration of Aotearoa New Zealand energy transition. More specifically, it will cover how NZ-ECs can support NZCSA members:

Greg Murphy "Murph" is New Zealand's highest-profile V8 Supercar driver. With memorable victories in the highly coveted Australian Sandown 500 and Bathurst 1000 events in 1996, he established himself as world-class.
Now in great demand as a conference speaker and motorsport icon - Murph left his mark on the sport of V8 Supercars, with over 400 V8 Supercar race starts, multiple Bathurst 1000 wins, and appointments with some of the highest-profile race teams in Australasia, Murph is rightfully considered one of the greats by fellow competitors and fans alike.
His disregard for detractors and adversity has led to memorable performances. This attitude applies to his life and business decisions. Although reaching 300km/h on the track, he advocates for safe driving on the road. He is the face of the Motor Trade Association's 'Murph in Schools' road safety program and has been promoting driver training and vehicle safety since 2010. In 2019, he worked with Holden NZ on a young drivers' safety program. Murph is now a motorsport commentator and TV presenter, co-hosting SkySpeed and appearing on "Top Gear Live."

Fred Grafe
Automha Americas Automation Corp – Managing Director
Fred Grafe is the managing director of Automha Americas Automation Corp out of Oakville, Canada. Under Fred's leadership, his team provides automated warehousing solutions, specialising in freezer environments. These installations are in North America, South America and the Oceania region. Automha Americas is unique as an organization. Designing, manufacturing and implementing their own solutions. Fred has worked in the Material Handling sector for over 30 years developing solutions for the Pharmaceutical, Automotive and Consumer goods industries. Adrian Dickison

Beca Technical Fellow, FIChemE, is a chemical engineer with over 35 years’ experience. Adrian is Beca’s subject matter expert in Industrial Refrigeration and is heavily involved in refrigeration design, specification, and ammonia process safety. Adrian is also founder of Maestro, Beca’s continuous refrigeration optimisation and asset condition product. Prior to Beca, Adrian was a refrigeration system designer with York Process Systems (nowJohnson Controls) at their Nantes, France facility. Outside work, Adrian enjoys motorcycles, windsurfing and a fine cup of coffee.

Brad is a community leader and is one of New Zealand’s youngest Justices of the Peace. Jonathan is Founder and Managing Director of DETA. DETA supports industrial and commercial clients throughout Australasia to develop and deliver sustainability strategy to ensure improvement goals are realised. Jonathan is an experienced energy professional with over 15 years in the industry. Some key project highlights include supporting the Climate Leaders Coalition’s response to government as part of the Climate Change Commission consultation, development of a South Island wide decarbonisation roadmap and the installation of New Zealand’s first Hight Temperature Heat Pump. Jonathan is heavily focussed on action, and the tools need to make sure goals and targets are not just talked about, but are realised.

Justin Marshall
Well-known former All Black
Conference Closing Speaker
Popular speaker Justin Marshall began his rugby union career with Southland and was then asked to join Christchurch’s team Canterbury. It was whilst here that Justin first made the break into the All Blacks side for the 1995 tour of Italy and France.
Background – Rugby
Justin was just 22 when he made his debut against France in a 37-12 win. In 1997 Justin was made captain of the All Blacks. He made 81 appearances for the All Blacks, with a record of 61 wins, 1 draw and just 19 defeats. Justin is the highest capped scrum half in All Blacks history.
In moving to Europe Justin Marshall retired from international rugby with the All Blacks in 2005. Justin has been overseas since 2005 and has played for vast number of teams most recently the Saracens.
Throughout the 2009-2010 season, whilst continuing to play for Saracens, Justin was a commentator on BBC Wales rugby programme Scrum V.
Current Work – Television
Justin has now returned to New Zealand and is based in Christchurch where he is focusing on his broadcasting career with SKY TV. He is a dynamic speaker and entertains with his many anecdotes from his years as a top level Rugby player.
